Morzine

Over 1 metre of fresh snow

morzine snow report

Temperatures have fallen sharply and we have been blessed with a huge snowfall in the last few days ending just yesterday morning.

Over the three previous days, Avoriaz and Morzine have seen new snow over 1 metre in depth which is over 4 foot!  All of the slopes, both upper to lower now have a fantastic base to start off the season.  A solid base and frozen ground underneath means that all snowfalls still to come will add even more to the already great depth of the base layer.

Morzine Snow Report

The clouds have gone but the snow hasn’t as the resorts of Morzine and Avoriaz have been blasting the snow cannons as much as possible.  Again, this can only be good for deepening the base layer.

There are rumours of lifts opening early this weekend for anyone that is lucky enough to have come to Morzine early.  We’ll update you on what happens…
