Morzine Lift Pass Prices

Question: How much is the Morzine lift pass?

It all depends on which one you go for and for how many days. There are essentially three different areas you can buy a pass for:

Morzine – Les Gets

Avoriaz

Portes du Soleil

Take a look at the next question for which pass covers which area.

For up to date and yearly prices, please see the information maintained by Custom Breaks on the Morzine Lift Pass.

Free Ski Lifts in Morzine

Question: Which lifts can I ride for free?

Answer: All of them if you are under 5 years old or above 75 years old. The rest of us to have to pay but there are reductions for children under 16 years old and for seniors over 60 years old. Take a look at the footnotes under the pricing table above.

Which Morzine Lift Pass

Question : So which pass Morzine lift pass is best to buy?

Answer : It all depends on your skiing or snowboarding ability, your age, how long you have here and your fitness level. The Portes du Soleil area caters for everyone from
families with small children, groups of friends with average abilities to the more hardcore guys looking for challenging off-piste.

You can buy one of three sectors: Morzine – Les Gets, Avoriaz or the full Portes du Soleil. Take a look at the below image as to which area is which.

If you are in a ski school having your first go at winter sports, then it’s probably more suitable to buy one of the smaller sectors (Avoriaz or Morzine-Les Gets). Contact
the Morzine ski school to see where lessons are. Kids in some Morzine ski schools will have their passes included in their lesson price so be careful not to buy twice! Kids
under five and the ladies and gents over 75 years go free (except for the 3 euro cost of the hands free pass).

For the more advanced skier or snowboarder, it is definitely recommended that you buy the full Portes du Soleil lift pass to really get the most out of your holiday. For
those that prefer not to venture to far, again, the local smaller sectors are probably a better pass to buy.

Morzine Lift Opening Times

Question: When are the lifts open in Morzine / Avoriaz / Les Gets / Portes du Soleil and so on during the winter months?

Answer: The lifts open in December and close at the end of April. The official dates for the Portes du Soleil this year are from Saturday 20th December 2008 to Sunday 26th
April 2009. Morzine – Les Gets will normally finish a week earlier than this as the snow will most likely be too thin on the ground to keep the area fully open.

Morzine Lift Passes and Photographs.

Question: Do I need a photograph for my Morzine lift pass?

Answer : Fortunately, there is no need to have a photograph on the weekly Morzine lift pass, nor Avoriaz or the rest of the Portes du Soleil for that matter. Any longer than
two weeks will normally require a photo but they can scan passport or driving license photos at the ticket offices so no need to find a photo booth before coming on holiday.
Morzine Season Lift Passes always have a photo scanned.

Losing your Morzine Lift Pass

Question: What happens if I lose my Morzine lift pass?

Answer: Fortunately, you can have it cancelled and be issued with a new one for the price of the hands-free card which is just 3 euros. You must however have the unique code
written on the face of the card to be able to cancel it in the first place! Write it down when you get the card and put it in a different pocket, or better still leave the code in
your chalet/apartment.

Non-Consecutive Morzine Lift Pass

Question: Can I get a Morzine lift pass that runs 5 non-consecutive days out of any 6 for example so I can take a day off during the week?

Unfortunately, the powers that be haven’t seen this as something they should be offering and therefore the answer is sadly no.

Morzine Lift Pass Points Scheme

Question: Can I make any savings when buying a Morzine lift pass?

When you buy a Morzine lift pass on a hands free smart card, you accumulate points. The idea is you recharge the hands free card each time you come to Morzine.
When you have over 200 points, you will receive a free one day Morzine lift pass for the entire Portes du Soleil ski area. You can accumulate points over several years but
you cannot combine points from several different cards, nor can you exchange the points for money.

So, how many points do you get each time you buy a Morzine lift pass? Well, as a rough guide, you get a little over 100 points each time you buy 6 days Portes du Soleil access. So, after
12 days you should be entitled to a free one day pass. Points can be accumulated in the summer also, but you get a lot less each time you buy a pass as lift access is considerably cheaper in the summer.
